Purchase Options Cancellation Policy

Effective for all purchases made using Buy Now Pay Later, instalment plans, deposits, layby, or any other purchase option.


General Information

Home of 12 Volt Northern offers a range of purchase options, including Buy Now Pay Later services, instalment plans, deposits, and layby arrangements.
This policy outlines how cancellations are handled depending on order status, payment method, and product type.


Order Status & Cancellation Eligibility

Orders Not Yet Processed

If your order has not yet entered processing, you may request a cancellation.
A refund will be issued minus any non-refundable merchant or provider fees (e.g., Afterpay, Zip, Klarna).

Orders in Processing, Packed, or Dispatched

Once your order is being picked, packed, or has been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible.
Customers may still return eligible items after delivery under our Returns & Warranty Policy.


Special-Order, Custom & Supplier-Order Items

Certain products are sourced or built specifically per customer request.

These items cannot be cancelled once:

  • the supplier order has been placed, or

  • production, assembly, or customisation has begun.

Deposits on special-order items may be non-refundable.


Deposit, Layby & Instalment Purchases

Standard Items

Orders placed with a deposit, layby, or instalment plan may be cancelled before dispatch, unless they include special-order goods.
Refunds will be processed minus non-refundable third-party or administrative fees.

Special-Order Items

Deposits may be forfeited if the supplier has already actioned the order.


Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) Services

For purchases made using BNPL options (e.g., Afterpay, Zip, Klarna):

  • All cancellations must comply with the provider’s terms and conditions.

  • Provider fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund total.

  • Account adjustments will occur only after Home of 12 Volt Northern has processed the cancellation.


Change of Mind Cancellations

Change-of-mind cancellations are only available prior to dispatch.
Once an order has shipped or been collected, cancellations cannot be accepted.
Customers may return eligible items after delivery under our Returns Policy.


How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please contact us with:

  • Full name

  • Order or invoice number

  • Payment method or purchase option used

  • Reason for cancellation

Our team will assess the order status and confirm whether cancellation is possible under this policy.
